The following table lists our basic services, and where possible, applicable prices. This will give you a rough idea of how much a solution would cost.
Remember that none of our server solutions use any Microsoft server software. This means that there are no annual licence costs to pay!

| File Server |
A central storage repository for all your business documents making it easy to find the information you want. Documents, such as spreadsheets or images are easily shared among other people within your organisation. Of course, it is also possible to restrict access to certain areas of the file server. Additionally, having all your files in a single place makes it easier to back up business critical documents. |
Our solution is based on Samba. Samba acts just like a MS Windows Primary Domain Controller (PDC) allowing domain logons to authenticate users and file sharing. The file server is also your print server making it easy to share and manage the printers on your network. |

| Email Server |
To allow delivery of email to, from and within your organisation and all users. All incoming mail can be scanned for viruses and spam and the system can be configured to your requirements. Having your own email server makes it easier to manage as your business grows. |
Our solution uses Postfix and Courier IMAP. The mail server can be setup to receive mail for the entire organisation from a single POP3 account held with your existing provider. Alternatively, the server can be configured as the main mail exchange or even have multiple POP3 accounts. In short, there are a whole host of options available to you. |

| Web Server (intranet) |
To allow you to host your own internal web based systems i.e. Contact Addresses. If you have a high speed internet connection, you can also allow remote users to access any web based systems you deploy. |
Our solution uses Apache for this. Apache is used to host almost 70% of the worlds web sites. Bespoke applications (such as a web based contact management systems) can be incorporated easily. We use PHP for building our bespoke sites with a PostgreSQL RDBMS backend. |

| SQL Database Server |
An SQL Database provides the building blocks of professional information systems. A database, coupled with a user friendly interface can provide your business with excellent resources such as a company wide contact manager and provides the information required in business reports. |
We use the PostgreSQL RDBMS which is the worlds most advanced Open Source database system available. PostgreSQL is highly scalable and standards based making it the perfect choice for organisations of all size. |

| Proxy Server |
The proxy server allows you define how your internet connection is used, allows you to monitor usage and additionally speeds up the delivery of files from the internet. It also adds another layer of security between your network and the internet. |
We use Squid for this. Squid is a caching proxy server so it takes some of the strain from your internet connection by caching frequently accessed web pages. Access control rules can be configured to restrict access to the internet and also allows you to monitor your users internet activity. |
