1. Monasis? Who are you and what do you do?

Our bedrock philosophy is simple. To provide really useful IT solutions that offer superior value for money to small and niche sector businesses.

We also take the view that IT should be kept simple so we have a refreshing no nonsense approach.

A major element to our services is the promotion and encouragement to use Open Source Software. This is how we keep your costs to a minimum.

2. You'll hammer us with a service contact, won't you?

No, we won't. If you liked what we did for you then it would be an honour to receive repeat business from you. However, we certainly don't expect you to pay for services you may never need which is why we don't push 'service contracts'. Pay for our services if and when you require them. We'll be there for you and if its our fault that something went wrong, you don't pay for it. Simple.

3. What services do you offer?

Everything IT related.

For example, Company X have 7 staff members. They have 7 computers, and computer files are all over the place. They also need to get their email sorted out, but are fed up with paying expensive fees every time they want to add or change an email account.

Our simple service and pricing structure allows most businesses to see the up front costs, before they even contact us. Take a look at our pricing matrix.

Of course, if any of our customers need a more bespoke service, we'll be more than happy to discuss your requirements.

4. Why are you cheaper than the others? Are you just rubbish, like a low cost airline?

We can provide these services so cheaply because of the following reasons:

1. The software is free
2. The software is quicker to configure than say a Microsoft solution
3. The software we use and the hardware we choose is relaible
4. We're not cunning and won't charge you for anything that you won't use or need
5. We are good at what we do which means the job is done in less time

Unlike low cost airlines, we think it's unreasonable to charge silly prices for normal things like sandwiches. We are always fair and open about what we charge for. Our motto is 'Open IT' and we mean it.

5. Why don't you wear suits?

There are a number of reasons. Primarily, they are uncomfortable. Also, for our line of work, they are impractical.

6. Are you going to bore me with a pointless 'corporate presentation'?

Definitely not our style. We'll come to you and discuss your requirements. We'll let you know what the costs will be and how and when your demands will be met. If you like it, we'll get on with it.

7. You look a like a bunch of jokers. Can I trust you with my IT infrastructure?

We have to admit that our approach is a little 'against the grain'. We want to stand out because we feel we have something good to offer. There is definitely an element of tongue in cheek when it comes to promoting our wares, but professionalism doesn't have to be boring.
