The Effect
Within a matter of days, Dearneside were already seeing the advantages.
- Files were now secure, properly backed up, easy to locate and quick to access
- Email was quicker, easier to manage and was fully expandable
- All staff had their own email addresses
- The internet was more secure, manageable and faster
- Contacts were available to the entire organisation from any workstation
- Staff became more organised
- Less time was wasted on non company business
- Remote access improved accessibility
The Savings
The most obvious savings came from the use of Open Source Software on the server. This strategy saved Dearneside just over £3000 in server licence fees and access licences alone.
On top of the immediately obvious savings, Dearneside had a noticeable increase in productivity.
Further savings are also being realised through the Monasis Secure Remote Management and Administration System.
